Sleep, ice, and fudge

Odd combination yes? Well, it seems that even when extremely tired and underslept, will still wake up before 7 am and be unable to go back to sleep. So, what does one do with so much extra time? Why, she spends an hour and a half chipping away at a large, ever growing block of ice that mysteriously grew on the cooling coils in her refrigerator that was probably new in 1985. However, due to this lack of sleep, she does not think of turning off the fridge before she bangs away with an awl, and melts the ice with a hairdryer. Had she done this at the beginning, the whole thing probably would have been finished in half the time. Where does the fudge come in? Hungry, she goes to the grocery store, buys it out, and ends up making two kinds of fudge this afternoon...two kinds of fudge her cellulite ridden thighs most desperately beg her not to eat.

An awl has the handle of a screwdriver, but the metal part is about 2.5 inches long and ends in a small point. It's supposed to be used to poke holes for screws in walls and holes in leather and stuff.
